Pre/Post Analysis
Pre/Post Analysis helps teams understand whether a campaign changed Customer behavior. It compares activity before, during, and after delivery, and separates Customers who redeemed from those who did not.
What it answersβ
| Question | Example |
|---|---|
| Did the campaign increase purchase frequency? | Customers purchased more often after receiving the coupon. |
| Did redeemers behave differently from non-redeemers? | Redeemers increased category spend while non-redeemers did not. |
| Did the campaign bring incremental sales? | Post-campaign sales exceeded the expected baseline. |
| Was the audience well selected? | The target group performed better than the control group. |
Analysis groupsβ
| Group | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Redeemers | Customers who received and used the coupon. |
| Non-redeemers | Customers who received the coupon but did not use it. |
| Control group | Comparable Customers excluded from campaign delivery, when control group is configured. |
Time windowsβ
Pre/Post views usually compare:
- Before: Customer behavior before campaign delivery.
- During: Activity while the campaign is active.
- After: Behavior after the campaign period ends.
The exact windows depend on the campaign, plan configuration, and analysis setup.
How to use itβ
Use Pre/Post Analysis after delivery, not before launch. For planning before launch, use Forecast & ROI Preview. For post-campaign financial tracking, use ROI Tracking.
Configurationβ
Open the delivered plan from Campaign Personalization β Intelligent Delivery and review ROI or analysis views when available. Control group settings must be configured before launch for control-based comparisons to be meaningful.
