Audiences

Audiences (formerly Segments) are the targeting foundation of every campaign. The drag-and-drop builder supports 34 filter conditions across 6 categories, enabling precise segmentation from simple demographics to complex multi-condition behavioral patterns.

Use Cases

Use Case
β†’ Customers who bought Coca-Cola in the last 12 months but have not bought Coca-Cola in the last 3 months (product reactivation).
β†’ Customers who bought vegetables in the last 3 months but have not bought fish in the same period (cross-sell).
β†’ Customers who received a 5 EUR voucher campaign but have not yet redeemed it (re-engagement).

How It Works

  1. You build an audience using the drag-and-drop condition builder β€” combining up to 34 filter types with AND/OR logic.
  2. Operators define how conditions are combined: AND means the Customer must match every condition in the group; OR means the Customer can match any condition in the group.
  3. Sub-groups let you nest logic for more precise targeting, such as "bought Coca-Cola in the last 12 months" AND "did not buy Coca-Cola in the last 3 months" AND ("Gold tier" OR "Silver tier").
  4. Conditions span demographics, purchase behavior, loyalty balance, location, calculated attributes, and custom fields.
  5. Consent and compliance checks exclude Customers who cannot be used for profiling, communications, third-party campaigns, or a specific channel under GDPR settings.
  6. The audience is saved and evaluated dynamically at the time it is used β€” Customers who no longer qualify are excluded automatically.
  7. Audiences are used as targeting inputs for Targeted Delivery sends, campaign victory conditions, and Insights analysis.
